Default Seller gets a reality check..... Nice low mileage Targa on CL w/sport seats

http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/2004013042.html

This car was listed 6 months ago for $60K+. Maybe the seller wasn't that serious then. Clearly he has had a reality check and wants it gone. Nice options, rims and low mileage. Biggest issue holding it back is the Tip transmission.
No affiliation. Happy to Rennfax if anyone is interested.

Hi

Nice car. The Tip will be a plus to someone, and it only takes one buyer!

A buddy of mine has owned 22 Porsches over the years. His knees are shot so he has switched to Tiptronic and PDKs. Last weekend he bought an '04 996 Turbo S and an '09 C4S Cab. Both clutchless.

My wife's Targa is a Tip. She wants no part of a standard gearbox.

The Targa for sale also has had a split grille added.

That looks to be a good deal. I lived with a Tip for 8 years, it was a great car.

I'm a tip guy...and that car has the interior color I crave.

In better times, I would be all over this car.

I know many people like white but I'm just not one of them. Guess that's why we have lots of color choices.

Too bad the car is soooo far away. If the interior color is Flamenco Red, I'd trade the seller my Flamenco red standard seats for some $. Given the sellers previous perception of the cars value it would probably be a long shot but I just emailed the seller to see if the interior color is Flamenco red...we'll see.

My white tip cab was a great looking and driving car..... as long as you drive tips in manual mode they are great.

Any idea why a '98 car would have a '95 style front bumper? Seems odd to have come from the factory like that.

Update: Googled '98 targa and all the pics show the cars having that style of bumper. Guess I learned something then. Nothing untoward in that respect.
