Default To the "Doctor" for a Physical

Took the car to the mechanic today for a check up...looks like there may be a clutch issue (which is being looked into - maybe flywheel) and the shocks were diagnosed as getting weak. This could be a great time to jump on to the slippery slope. If the flywheel is shot, looking at RS flywheel. Hopefully there will be no stalling issues on my '95. With the bad shocks, here's the time to lower the car from SUV height with PSS10 and ROW springs. (M030?)

Should $3000 cover the clutch/flywheel upgrade? (I know this will vary per state, I live in MA where things seem to be more expensive)

A good start down the slope

M030 is the sport suspension...springs and shocks...in ROW heights. If you go w/ PSS10's, they're coil-overs and the springs/shocks are together as a unit. They are fully adjustable for damping and height.

I'm putting M033's on, which are OEM and ROW height, but the ride of the non-sport suspension, which I think might be fine since I don't track the car. There's tons of discussion on this...my take finally was to start w/ M033, see how I liked it, and go from there if I'm left longing.

Look at Sunset Imports (the Porsche dealer in Portland, OR) for great prices on OEM stuff...many choices for PSS10's. Good luck and have fun. Sunset sells the M033 kit (springs and shocks) for $993, which is by-far the best price you'll see...but, it depends how you intend to use the car.

Parts alone for the LFW setup run about $1600 and change from Sunset. Don't know what your shop charges for labor or how long of a job a clutch change is in the book. I've always performed my own labor. $1400 might cover the labor.
