Default OT : 356 I shot for this months Atlanta Mag cover

Originally I tried to get them to put a 993 on the cover but they wanted an older looking car. So I called up a local PCA members car (Bob Kuchenbecker) and he graciously let us use his beautiful 356. Of course I was excited about the assignment cause I could involve some pcars

just wanted to share....

I know! But to their point the 993 doesn't look "old enough"

Yeah, nothing beats a 356 for that. The cover turned out great!

Yeah Sergio, but knowing how you drive in the mountains, I suspect that the photographer would have had to use an impossibly high shutter speed to catch your car in the frame.

LOL...I would have "slowed" down some for the picture obviously.

How are the leaves up there Terry? Starting to turn yet? Looking at the cover and talking about mountains makes me want to go drive now.

I was up on Blood Mountain last Friday and there was just a little color beginning to show...I'd say it'll peak in about 2-3 weeks.

Some advice...Stay away from Dahlonega October 15-16...They have that damned Gold Rush festival up here that weekend and there will be literally thousands of people up here.

Thanks for the tip. Sounds like the 3rd week in October would be the one.

A friend of mine here in town just bought a '95 Carrera in Guard's Red. I am urging him to join our yearly hijinks up in the mountains.

And ryano, that is a great shot of a great car in a great setting!

Funny enough that was a problem because it needed to look in full peak. So I actually shot the car in a parking lot at a similar angle and retouched it into the road shot from last season

I would be down for a spirited drive the last weekend of the month... cant do the 24th though

I was on a ladder to match the angle of the road and shot at the same time of day as well. Then i retouched the car in the other shot, changed the reflections to those of trees, added the shadows to match ect. All in all it looks like it was taken in one shot

That explains the shadow cast by the 356 in the in the size and shape of a bus.
