Thanks everyone. You've given me some great ideas! I ordered 2 of the ebay flags and will pick-up a dozen or so of the 993 showroom posters. Have 2 Kills Bugs posters already here

Got the cars out of the garage today and started painting

Given any thoughts to the floor and lighting? If you're doing anything to the floor, there won't be a better time than when the garage is empty. Racedeck is expensive but makes a good product. Consider adding flourescents as well while you have access to everything. Put in extra receptacles, switches, yada yada.

Thanks Autobonrun. The Racedeck is in the other bay (through the door to the left) waiting for the painting to be complete I've already raised the door in bay one and put a Jackshaft opener on that door and my 4 post lift will go in mid-October. I've installed video surviellance, garage door contacts and deadbolt locks already too. I'm looking for some decent lighting now and will get that up ASAP.

I plan on doing a garage thread soon as I know I love reading them and think others may have some interest.

I also have some old metal gas station signs I picked up at a car auction, good fun!
That one was actually sent out by Porsche as a marketing piece. Mine came with a sticker applied of a license plate with my last name. I forgot all about it! Need to find it! Thanks!

Please keep us posted. I'm in the market for a 4 post lift as well. I find it very helpful to read and see pic's of others garages and lift setups.

Yep, that is my TV. You can buy a modulator to conect to the system that sets a channel for the video cameras. You can access this from any TV in the house.

LOVE the Idea of a camera in the garage. We are moving next month and will have a great time getting the new garage together. Now in addition to A/C and Heat I'll add camera monitor to the list.

The Race Deck turned out GREAT.

Ken ~ THANK YOU. That was our best garage to date. I hope the new owners are enjoying it.

Thanks JoAnne,

I love the Cameras around the house and in the garage. It's great to be able to view them from the TV or a computer when on vacation etc. The other thing I did that worked out well is the wall that we built between the 2nd and 3rd bays. This way I never have to worry about the kids or their friends accidentally bumping a car. It also keeps the garbage cans, snow blower, bikes and garden tools out of my nice clean garage!

Hmm, I really like the cameras too. Got a link to which ones you've used, or the modulator??
