Default Little plastic tube

I was changing out my battery and a small clear tube appeared. It has a 90 degree black plastic angle in the end. The other end seems to go in the fender, behind the light. Does anyone know where my wayward end goes?

yup - make sure it's hooked up. If your battery is in correctly the vent hole is on the left side of the battery as you face the trunk. If you don't have one you may have the wrong battery.

I read the lists and got a everstart maxx battery at Walmart. Fits perfect but can't find the vent hole. There seems to be one on the top, opening between the battery posts, but the porsche's tube doesn't seem to fit well. Anyone know about this? Can't find a everstart web page to describe how to do it. And is it critical this tube be hooked up?

+1 Most vented batteries have an vent tube "kit" available that has the appropriate adapter to link your OEM vent tube to the battery. I have found that you usually have to ask for the kit when you purchase the battery as most of the high school kids working in the parts stores don't know to offer them.
