Default Been inside Holt Motorsports lately?

Has anyone been into Holt Motorsports in PA within the last two weeks? He has cars on his website and others that are in the back. I would like your opinion on a few if you have?

My apologies, more detail would be helpful. A friend of mine pointed me to this forum. I am in the market for a white C2 coupe. Tim has sent me pics of a white one not listed on his website, says it's one of a kind. For the price he is asking, I figured I would at least follow up on his claims. I know it's a shot in the dark, but hoping on a plane is a bit much too. It has red calipers, white with cashmere interior.

Many thanks in advance.

I bought my car from Tim. He has nice cars...his customer support is excellent if you need help, he knows these cars. My car, although very nice was overpriced. I knew that when I bought it with the expectation of keeping it for a long time and not caring too much.

Remember, If you are looking for a car, Tim is a retailer, not a priviate seller. He will make money on the sale but generally has nice cars. PPI is recommended on all 993 sales.

Good luck...sounds like a beautiful car but I am not familiar with it. Welcome to Rennlist!

I haven't thought much about the PPI.

Thanks Andy and great looking 993 as well.

I had the PPI done at Dougherty's near Holt's...I was pretty happy with them and most people here agree. Let us know how it's going.

I got your response in my e mail before your edit...and it was not too private...
The PPI was 200 or 225? This was a basic PPI not including compression leak down test. Tim said he did that and gave me some numbers. Do I beleive that he did on very short notice before I flew down? I will leave that to the mysteries of the universerse but my engine runs very srtrong and clean and I am happy.
Doughertys did not find any major defects and I got to come back in the garage while they were finishing up and ask questions to the guys that actually did the inspection. All in all it was a good experience and I am happy with my experience.

Bought a car from Tim a long time ago and he has always bucked the trend of a high end used retailer. Very knowledgeable, helpful and fully understands that his good name is more important than a quick buck. With that said, you will pay more up front, but if you start adding up the cost of looking on your own I think his price will even out in the end.

Also Doughertys is the place for the ppi.

I also bought my car from Tim. I would again. Well worth the journey from NC to Philly in my situation. There may be minor issues with any car you buy that is approaching the age of these 993s but you can probably feel pretty good about all of his cars being free from major issues. That was and is HUGE in my book. I did NOT get a PPI and the car is approaching the two year mark without any issues other than typical maintenance. there are many threads dealing with Holt so do a search for yourself. It is about 90% or even higher positive remarks. Feel free to PM me for info or details.

I bought my car from Tim a few years back. He is overpriced, but usually has nice cars.
I did a PPI, and also recommend you get one too. I used Possum Hollow Motorsports for the PPI and found them very professional (I subsequently used them for servicing).
Good luck with your search.

There are a few folks local to Holt on the board, so I suspect someone has been in recently.....

Great to hear the positive remarks on your experiences. It's hard to put a value on what you want, all my dreams are over priced in a sense.

To PPI or not, seems to be personal choice, but it's good to have some leads if I decide to.
