Default Yellow lights

I purchased some yellow (3000k) bulbs to run with my DDM 55 w ballasts. I did not realize they were so yellow, but to be honest...I like them and would like to run them as regular headlights but wonder if they are legal for street use. They are certainly bright enough...that is for sure!

I use 3000K on mine as headlights. It's Arena Red as well.

Looks awesome... I've driven by many police cruisers and never been pulled over once. (Knock on wood)

Sounds good...I'll check them out on Saturday.

I'm sure you won't have any problems.

Mission aborted...I installed them and drove around. Although they were fairly bright I have gotten used to the unadulterated "light up my life" 4500k bulbs....plus they were VERY yellow. Even though I love the look I got pulled over for no seat belts today (CAN YOU SAY "MONEY GRAB"?) I am reverting to my non-outlaw ways and using the standard bulbs just in case they want more money!
Maybe I will try Glen's solution (Ninjabones) and try some 3M film. Maybe they are tamer?

I would also suggest STD temperature bulbs and then try an Xpel headlight film kit

They offer clear, smoke, blue and yellow.

FWIW, I have yellow lenses on my 964 Cup car.

I have yellows on my subie fogs I like the look. Yellow is also best for some real fog, not that we see that too much. I did yellow vinyl so it is yellow all the time. Not everyone is into that, but yellow is my favorite color, so it works for me.
