Default "Odd ball" 993 or 964 colors

I've become increasingly interested in trying to locate and buy on of the more "odd ball" colors for either the 993 or 964 models. You know, the Mint Green, Mexico Blue, Rubystone Red etc.

If anyone knows of such a car for sale please let me know. I would like to locate one though I know my chances are slim.

Here's a pastel yellow 993 that's apparently still for sale:

that car has a bad carfax if I recall. Check it out to make sure it is not a different car. But there was a pastel yellow when I was shopping that had major repair, accident, paint, etc. history on the carfax....

Be patient and persistent in your search. I have also come to appreciate the more unusual colors. After seeing another RLer's Turquoise Blue C2 I decided I had to have one, but 993s in that color don't come up for sale very often. Ultimately I had to hunt one down, and it took a while, but the effort paid off. My current obsession is finding a low-mileage slate grey 930... Happy hunting!

mrsullivan: your blue one is amazing. Exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for. I guess I'm just going to have to take my time over the next year on this search. I'm sure I'm not the only one looking for clean cars in these unusual colors. Time to get creative

thanks! I am working on the following tasteful/reversible upgrades. Just be patient. Some will chime in here and tell you that I will be itching for something different eventually anyway, so if you are around then...

1) RS hardback sports seats w/backs painted to match
2) turbo front bumper
3) split grille painted to match
4) PSS-10 w/RS sways
5) new 18 inch wheels/tires
6) FD stage 2 exhaust w/ black ceramic tips
7) RS interior goodies -- steering wheel, shifter, blue seatbelts, RS lightweigt doors w/matching pulls
8) upgrade Becker stereo w/IPOD
Etc....

Sorry to highjack a bit!

wow. that looks awesome. Really. Such a rare color. I wonder if i would totally devalue my 98 Carerra C2S if I had the whole thing repainted to sample - signal green. Sounds insane. I know. But. If it was an incredibly well done job maybe somebody would eventually be interested in a 993 that color - even if it wasn't from the factory.

I am a new wild color convert. i dont plan to sell this car anytime soon. But if a signal green or paint to sample orange, etc. came up i could definitely be tempted to switch or own two. Love it.

Love my pastel yellow. One of the Riveria/torquoise/mexico blues would definitely be very high on my list also...

Your current car is white? I wouldn't repaint that. But there are enough silver, black and red cars that repainting green or orange would be OK.

I've been thinking about converting my 993 into a full blown race car and painting it Signal Green.

Group buy on signal green paint jobs?

Sadly I don't think they work that way.
