Default Intro

Greetings everyone!
It seemed time to introduce myself and say thanks. After close to two years of lurking here (and looking all around) I have acquired my long desired 993 C4S.
It is a '96 and just turned 36,000 miles, as you can see below. Factory aero kit, black interior, the lovely K40 radar detector, and few other options.

Prior to entering my life, it had a full 30k mile service and a recent clean bill of health. It is exceptionally clean in and out, and is, in my opinion, a real beauty. I must admit, black was not my first choice, but the car came to me at such a good price and condition that I couldn't pass it up. I have had several black cars, and they are lovely when clean, they are just tough to keep that way!

This is my 2nd 993. Last December I purchased an Arena Red / Cashmere interior 96 993 C4 with 56k on the clock locally, and my neighbor, who had admired it for some time, purchased that from me when I found my C4S. Now there are three 993s and an SC within a seven house radius!

Next up, a full change of fluids, and then who knows. Powdercoating the wheels gunmetal? Suspension? SSK? So many options. It does have an aftermarket exhaust, but I don't know what it is, although it sounds pretty good. I will try to get some pics and post them here. It also has a K&N cone filter installed by the PO that I am inclined to take off in favor of a motorsound airbox. Recommendations and thoughts are welcome.

So, thanks for the many helpful threads, I look forward to years of happy drives and posts!

Welcome. My 98 has OEM Motorsound. I like it. You can hear an aggressive although mellow tone but it's not obtrusive and doesn't rumble or cackle.

Thanks for the kind words! Nice to see the black cars out in support. They do look good!

FarfelC2S, that's really funny that we had parallel experiences switching cars!

I'd like to say thanks to Intercity Transport for the great work. As you will see in the pics below, the car arrived safely nestled under cover. They were very professional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

As requested, some more pics. (Sorry, they aren't all great. While the car arrived very clean, I haven't had time to clean it all the way up to my standards and take those pics.)

and, btw, my other car is a boxer as well: a speedy wrx wagon.

Looks great!! Enjoy it, I got mine with the same miles, & just about the same car. Be carful, you will want to drive it all the time! Mine racked up 4,000 miles in a couple of months.
