I've found the East Coast cars to require much more force to press-out the large bushing than that of West Coast cars, seriously! 4-6 tons for West cars, upwards of 12 tons for East cars. I am still amazed at the difference!!

YES! I believe that this may be the easiest way to do this. The hacksaw method is tedious at best. I got impatient and tried using a sawzall to remove the rubber bushing, resulting in a nice new groove in the barrel of the control arm. Thankfully it was not severe enough to worry about, but still. If I had to do it again I would first try the socket method.

Chris W. did mine over the weekend as swap old with new and I'm a happy camper!
Seriously, he is one of the nicest and most competent guy on this forum.
We should nominate him some sort of "Rennlister of the year" award!
