I know of a great shop in Nyack, NY...Speedwerks of NY (917) 676-3706...right next to the Tappan Zee Bridge; but it's a hike from Princeton.

I second Robbie Provost. Excellent mechanic, immaculately clean shop, very very reasonable rates, a racing driver himself, active in the Schattenbaum Region of PCA (I believe his is Technical Advisor), and an overall nice guy.
