Tony,

Thanks for the compliment. You have an incredible 993 coupe possibly for sale right in Colorado. The car is a well known here on Rennlist. If it goes up for sale it will go quick. PM me your phone number and I will give you the run down on it.

I do not respect the owner of this facility & cringe every time I see a car on the road with one of their license plate surrounds! Did I say, WARNING!!!!!!!?
Solely based on this comment, I would RUN so fast from this car...like 0-60 in 5 seconds flat!

based on all the feedback here -- carfax accident, Nick's warning, etc. I would keep looking. As was pointed out (and taken a little out of context from my entire post ), they always look nice in pictures, with all this additional info I would take a pass. But I still say you wont find a 98C2S with low mileage under $50k unless it has an undesireable color combo, other issues, etc. Good luck...

I looked at a C2S late last year before buying mine It had apprx 30k miles and was in excellent shape. Probably needed suspension. I heard it sold for around $36k.

i bet it was a 1997, a not-so-popular color combo, or something was wrong...

I took this forum's advice and I walked away from the car.

I agree, too many red flags, with the dealer being sketchy, accident history, and some exterior scratches he wanted me to pay for. Don't dealers detail anymore? Jeez. It was overpriced when considering these red flags, maybe not if the car is spotless and with a solid history.

Welp, back to the drawing board. The hunt is half the fun as someone mentioned. I'll PM you Youngturk on the car Larpy mentioned I assume.

Thanks again -
Tony

Tony, I emailed you what I thought was a great car in PA. You can always float it on the board and get a wider perspective...but watch out for those black sport seats...Jonathan...aka Mr Sullivan is hot for a set of those.

http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ctd/1948354160.html

No affiliation, no knowledge of their rep, etc.

15k fewer miles and same asking price from a used car lot.
