I was driving down PCH in Corona Del Mar and just saw this. I had to stop, take pictures, and share it with all of you. The delivery truck took the door right off.

Hope the Porsche owner drives better than he opens doors. Sounds/looks like the delivery driver had the right of way.

Somehow, here in California, there seems to be a correlation to the amount of money you have and how cluelessly you drive.

I believe the driver was the gal in the pick shirt leaning against the car.

 

Ah, that explains it. From the "too much, too soon" school. No worries; Daddy'll get her another shiny toy.

More dollars than sense, looks like. Very common in that part of SoCal.

Look at the positive side... no more check strap issues with that door.

 

You'll never see my wife sitting or leaning against any car, much less a Porsche!

 

Look at that first picture and you'll see the little girl with her. SHE may have not bought the car, but likely not her father.

Also, anyone note the picture from the rear and the plate # "NY56"? Yeah, CA plate, but who's #56 on any of the NY team's rosters????

I couldn't give a ____ if my wife leaned on a car. I do it all the time. They're cars. (Of course that might be the disconnect I have from the rest of the world as a result of my little sell-the-RSA experiment of the past couple of weeks.)

 

Good thing it was a delivery truck and not a cyclist. One more reason why I hate riding my bike on the road.

Bummer... Well, unbolt the door stop and drive home. Doesn't look too bad.. makes it feel like a Jeep !

 

I just hope to gawd her phone wasn't damaged in the fruckus.
