I just received my order from uk a week ago!
I love the look of these caps, I just need to color match them to my gunmetal powdercoat...

Just bought one off e-bay from Porsche of Freemont... Was going to post something about their listing, but ended up getting the last one. While not cheap, price was about same as Pelican for the gold crest (this is supposed to be a re-finished factory part). Will post an update on the quality when I get it.

Still need to order the wheel caps. Then find a leather 3-spoke airbag with the silver crest. Then... and after that...

Is the hood crest you bought all silver/black or is it the one that has red in it? Would love to see a pic when you do get it or link to the image where you bought it.

It does have the red--basically the gold has been recolored to silver.

Having trouble copying the picture from the auction, but here is the link:
Silver Crest

Edit:
Here is a pic courtesy of BumperPlugs--should be very similar.

Well, just 3 days after clicking "Buy Now", I have the crest in hand. IMO it looks nicely done, and while somewhat pricey for what it is, was reasonable compared to what I have seen them listed for elsewhere (equal to the price of the gold crest on Pelican).

The picture shows the parts box (the sale ad clearly states it is a refinished gold crest), and a gold crest for comparison (sorry for the poor quality BB pic).

Next step is getting the wheel center caps.

(no, there is not a line in the shield part of the crest, this is just a reflection)

I keep wondering if anyone has ever tried to remove the red material that makes up the red bars on the badge? On the old factory badges for longhood 911's from the '60's and 70's, those bars were enameled 'Cloisonne', but I think these new badges are just melted hard plastic. Does anybody have a 'beater' badge someone could use to do some experiments on?
