When I'm in the 912, everybody flashes and waves, even dumptrucks ... I guess it just makes everybody yearn for their past. I know it does me ...
Yesterday, we drove the cab to Point Reyes for lunch and a beautiful new silver Aston Martin pulls up while I'm parking, window rolls down and gentleman tells me I've got the most beautiful 993 Cab he's ever seen .. I think Hilde and I both blushed a little. I mean, his car is seriously stunning. The flake in the silver paint is almost blinding in the noonday sun, black interior with silver stitching smells so leathery rich, I'm almost swooning and all just 10 days old .... and he stops to compliment my old sled?? Now that's enthusiasm!! My faith has been restored, at least for now ...

When in my 993, I always flash other 911s...I guess I'm old school.
Just about everyone always returns the gesture. Sometime I get this confused gaze back

Peace sign...if they acknowlege first.
Generally speaking, I dont wave or flash people.
On the flip side of vehicles, I rarely make it out and about in my 77 Bronco without someone giving me a thumbs up or making a comment if they are next to me.

993 and older 911, 912, 914s and 356 get wave. I ignore Cayennes and Boxsters. Wave is usually through the windshield because it is hard to get your hand out the window on these cars.
