Default I've got a disease, and the only cure is more cowbell... or a 993 track car

Guys/Gals,

I'm coming to my senses and selling the 997. It's a gorgeous car and performs like no other car I've driven. Unfortunatly, it's too nice to risk stuffing it at the track so I'm looking for a less special and more disposable car and a 993 instantly came to mind.

HA HA

But really, a 993 is the epitome of what Porsche founded it's reputation on and with prices they way they are, I can have as much fun, if not more (PSM is for pussies) and still never see much depreciation with a 993.

I'm looking for a car right now so if anyone has any suggestions as to where to look, fire away. So far, I've been cruising Pelican Parts, 6speedonline and here.

On second though, I'm only doing this because my best buddy keeps telling me that the only reason I'm faster than him (I win all my DEs) is because of the newer car. I need to prove to him (or maybe me?) that that simply isn't the case. I'm coming for you Paul902...

Cowbells and school bells. FAAAR too many songs lack these simple tools.

In the San Diego region of PCA, there are several 964 RS America track cars for sale.
I mean, a 964 is even a "less special and more disposable car" than a 993, right?

Just a joke all you 964 owners. I mean if you really want disposable, a 996 would be...nah, forget it.

There is a nice low mi 993 with euro trans and pss9 and more in New Jersey in a thread by "jford" about 10 down on this same page . Seems like a good deal of what you want for little more than a standard car. No affiliation.

Talked to him yesterday. It's pretty darn close to what I want.

Anyone wanna buy a 997?

From SNL skit...
Dickinson (played by Christopher Walken) warns Frenkle (Will Ferrell) not to tone it down too much, as they're "gonna want the cowbell on this track."

Well, cowbells for cyclocross races also, but no where near as funny as this...
