I believe that the 964 carrier is the same, so I'll chime in-

I sent my cracked carrier to the Rennline folks. ~60k mile car, no track time, only change from stock was a few thousand miles on h&r/bilstein setup. One day I noticed my tailpipe hanging very low... So it definitely can happen under normal/spirited road driving. Maybe I was just unlucky.

I upgraded to the Wevo mounts when I put in the newly upgraded carrier. I'm not sure the change was as drastic as Cristel's comments, but the car is noticeably more solid feeling - in a very good way. However, the AC compressor really whines when engaged. NVH is otherwise only very slightly worse.

BTW- The Rennline repair/reinforcement was an A+ job.

Andreas, I'm not sure what you mean by engine "feel," since this photo suggests that your car has never been started.
