Default Bilstein PSS10 Adjustment?

Just had the PSS10 kit fitted and would like to ask you guys who have done the same how you adjust it. What is the easiest way? Is it a wheel off job?
Also what settings are you running at for standard street use? (is it 1 soft 10 hard BTW?)

TIA

I can lay down on floor and reach them without taking wheel off. 1 = Soft 10 = Hard).

Ditto. For the first time that you try, do it with a cold engine or you might get burned.

I make notes on what settings I have the car adjusted to. That way I know how many clicks (+2 for stiffer, -2 for softer, etc).

Alternatively, you can dial it all the way to 10 (or 1) and count from there.

Not hard to do once you know where to reach your hand to find the adjustments.

My car is 6 front, 4 rear most of the time. Hard driving, I add 2.

Patrick, you have it hard at the front than at the rear? I have told to try it the other way around.......

try it both ways
that's why you bought the adjustable ones right?
in general, the softer one end is in relation to the other, the better that end will grip.
soft front, hard rear = oversteer
hard front , soft rear = understeer

lot's of other variables too, so don't take this as gospel.

have fun experimenting.

Yep, I go counter to what most people on this board recommend. My car was set to these settings when I had the PSS10s installed at RUF. And I always come back to those settings as they work best for my car.

CGFEN explains it well.

+1 but for the front adjustment just turn your steering wheel all the way to the left or right that will make it easier to adjust on the fronts.

Agreed, but the weight distribution's slightly different on an awd car due the all the gubbins up front and that doesn't include weight transfer under braking, my C4's PSS10's are set up 5 both front and rear currently including M030 Sways; nice and neutral and as mentioned a piece of cake to adjust. Will still play about with it though to see what else I can extract from the car in normal road usage, nice compliant ride by the way, much better than I expected unless you are on a farm track, then you'd expect it.
