@ MMC, especially for rare/collector/high dollar cars you need permission from the owners to photo shoot the vehicle.
Once you post stuff on the web it is possible to track down the car via driver's name on roof and or plate # etc.
I did not get the ok this time. Just and engine shoot.
No they dont. This factory German series cup car had equal length headers and a true X-pipe (no cats of any sort). Confirmed by myself & owner. Placed 2nd overall in the German series.
Next time there will take a pic.
I do not believe it is true. The Cup cars were raced with cats and stock exhaust. Some Cup cars were bought and raced in other classes that do allow for modifications - and likely what was done with this car. Here are pics of a header we did when I was with Carobu for a 993 Cup car.
The following picture is of a 993 header used by GW Motorsports and was possibly a Porsche Motorsports piece - but not legal in Porsche Cup.
We also built a setup using two mufflers and a common center outlet (I would not really consider it a Y-pipe). I could not find my pictures of that setup, but here is a similar setup by Buckley Racing in TX for a 911SC.
