Hi Rob,

@ MMC, especially for rare/collector/high dollar cars you need permission from the owners to photo shoot the vehicle.
Once you post stuff on the web it is possible to track down the car via driver's name on roof and or plate # etc.
I did not get the ok this time. Just and engine shoot.

I will be back this weekend-so let's see.

Thanks Rich

Kevin,

did you notice any loss in power with that v-cone airfilter in the hot engine bay?

I like the clean look.

No, not really.
Interestingly enough, the cup cars cone filter is also in the engine bay.

Next time there will take a pic.
I do not believe it is true. The Cup cars were raced with cats and stock exhaust. Some Cup cars were bought and raced in other classes that do allow for modifications - and likely what was done with this car. Here are pics of a header we did when I was with Carobu for a 993 Cup car.

The following picture is of a 993 header used by GW Motorsports and was possibly a Porsche Motorsports piece - but not legal in Porsche Cup.

We also built a setup using two mufflers and a common center outlet (I would not really consider it a Y-pipe). I could not find my pictures of that setup, but here is a similar setup by Buckley Racing in TX for a 911SC.

Isn't the top picture a stepped header on a 996GT3 Cup or RSR, Vince?

That middle picture looks like the headers on my 993. They are legal in PCA stock class (G)

Top pic does not look like a 993 header to me...looks like a 996 header, watercooled heads are visible....
