Wow I really didnt expect this. Good thing I have my flame suit on.
You guys really need to attack DMV for there stupid rules not me.

Sure here are the pics. I only have pics that the insurance took I never took pics myself because I was fixing the car for myself and these were good enough for me.

Here is ther thread I had a while ago with pictures during the process.

Hopefully the flaming stops here.........

Would agree from the pics that this shouldn't have been a salvage. Bit of work of course, but suprised repair would be even close to salvage, 80% of value at the time. Good luck with the sale, pictures should be of huge value, buyers we always be sceptical of what a seller says.

Thanks for posting the before pics. I'm no body expert, but the damage didn't look too bad. And it looks like it was fixed right. The after pics look great. For the right price, whatever that may be, this looks like it could be a great car.

Thanks, Yes it wasent bad. The pictures even make it look worse then it was(but im not claiming that it was "light damage" "or Scratches" like some people do). I drove it the way it was when I first got it.

The "before" pics make me sad. Poor once-proud car in the rain

I'd be curious about the circumstances of the accident. Probably unknown, I suppose. Quite a V-shaped intrusion there.
The salvage title issues often have owner input, if he strongly does not want the car back. An owner with a sore neck gives an insurance co. a lot of incentive to total the car and cut a check, if that's what the owner pushes for.

Yes I agree, And if I was Protecting a car as a "Investment" and not driving it to keep the mileage low and then got hit I wouldnt want it back either.
So maybe the owner did the most pushing to total the car.

If I may quote Tattoo from fantasy island "Hey boss, it's the frame, it's the frame". Looks like she took a pretty good hit. I can see where it was close to 50% ACV. I'm sorry if you felt "flamed". The car has a story and the pics sure do tell it. It looks great now. Perhaps the Ins co overestimated the damage and cost of the repair. Shame you have to sell it. It looks great and has a lot of life left in it. If I had started buying houses instead of new Porsches, maybe I wouldn't still have to be working.

Not to argue, but these cars are Unibody so you can pretty much call everything "Frame" if it does not unbolt.
For a example the front pan where the spare sits can be called "Frame"

Okay that's better. Now the question I would have as a buyer is how was it fixed? Cut and paste, frame machine pull the original metal? I didn't see any pics or explanation of how the car was actually repaired. That would be a huge question on my mind as a buyer. You must convince a buyer that not only does it look good but done right. And like the "location, location, location" adage applies to real estate, detail, detail, detail should be the rule here for best dollar value coming back to you.

I speak from experience in saying the market is tough right now. Looks like a nice car at a nice price but the buyers that are out there right now are looking for STRONG deals (very low 20's) and perfect cars. Ask me how I know.... :/

It was done by someone doing body for over 25 years and he fixes cars for Dealerships such as Hummer/Cadillac and others that are damaged during test drives.

It was done on a frame machine and was replaced at the original welds as the pictures show in my other thread.
No "In my backyard" work here lol.

I would of bought this car if I saw this post about a week earlier.. I was looking for a black 993 with tan leather (even if this is a salvage title).. Too bad.. Just bought an Arctic White 05 997 C2.. this would of save me close to $10K
