Hey, that engine bay looks familiar...and is it ever dirty.

Front wire: Green with white stripe.

Rear wire: Red with white stripe.

I know this an old thread but still related. I have a 95 and attached to the driver's side fuel rail are three conenctors that are unused. I can see the two very short ones have no home but what about the long two wire conenctor with the brown and red wires?

Thanks.

Hal

I believe those go to the heater blower. I'll check my car tonight to confirm.

We have a connection on the blower motor that is different. It could plug into the tube but the twin yellow wires and the connector seem to be for this piece. The odd man out is the longer two connector with a red and brown wire and a square plug.

Here's a better view of the plug we're trying to find a home for...

Your car is an early 95 without the fresh air flap that has had the wiring harness recall done.

The replacement harness is for all NA models so the early cars will not use the "switch over valve" plugs.

IIRC there were 2 for the fresh air flap and 1 for the Vario ram flap, so if you look closely you will find the three plugs on the left side of the engine. Can't remember the colors off the top of my head but that is one of them.

You can see the breakdown of the plugs from the recall TSB below. In the diagram the extras for your car are #12,13 and 17.

If you need the colors I can take a look, but mine are all tied up behind the intake out of sight.

That should do it. Thanks for everone's help. I'll do the same and tuck them away behind the ducting.
