It is just 1 of 7 Porsche's® built in 1997 finished in Pearlescent White. It is the only one of those with the wheels painted to match the rest of the car. The paint job alone cost more than our first house.
Could have picked a more representative photograph for their page...

I really love the color. It is sort of a white with a translucent silver effect. The color is hard to photograph.

An absolutely gorgeous color.

One might say that the "pearl" takes the boring out of white.

When I was considering building an RV-4, it was going to be pearl white. Too many aircraft are plain white.

"NEVER BEEN RACED OR DRIVEN HARD"

With 5 point harnesses installed on the "cosmetic only" roll bar and a Skip Barber Racing School decal on the rear quarter window.

Then again, it could have been driven in Green Group, therefore never driven hard.

very pretty car....but it isn't worth a $20-$25K premium to other TT's w/ same mileage IMO

THIS CAR HAS BEEN MATICULOUSLY MAINTAINED, NEVER BEEN RACED OR DRIVEN HARD.

If only "cosmetic only", what sort of role does that bar actually play then?
And if you have "Matts" in the car, can you take any more passengers with you?

Keith-- Mat's the maintainter: it's "MATICULOUSLY MAINTAINED."
Must be better than meticulous maintenance, especially in all caps

I remember an article in either Panorama or Excellence years ago about a 965 (964 Turbo) flatnose car that was done in pearl white. The article said the paint process was so toxic that Porsche was only allowed to do a few per year, and I think the option cost was something like $15k. Not sure if this is the same car or not.

I thought the same thing. When pictures don't match the story my scam alert goes off.
"MATICULOUSLY MAINTAINED". they should have at least vaccumed the floor mats...

Lowry's has a 3.8L engine.

I've met a couple of other PCA guys via this site who live in Reno.
