Its a mud pool. Rotarua is famous for geothermal activity, geysers, mud pools, and smelly sulpher!!.

Very nice trip & pictures. Unbelievable petting zoo. They let you pet a BIG cat!!!!???? I'll put that place on my list. I love big cats. Do they have any tigers??.
