ALL 1995 cars are ODBI. Early cars have the round connector, later cars have the standard ODBII connector, but ARE ODBI.

ODB question, i have a 1995 with a odb plug, my odb 2 reader and does not link up and read my codes. Should it ? or do i need a specific reader for porsche?

Get a 96 993.. that way you can still use your OBDII reader..

First, if you have an immobilizer, you need to disarm it. You can't read anything with the light on.

Try putting the reader in "generic" mode, or see if it has a ODBI mode.

Um.. if it is an OBD1 system.. do a search for Bosch Hammer. standard code readers dont work on OBDI cars.. maybe you can get your hands on one of these=
