Default Race Tow Hook

I think the tow hook looks cool on the car, but at the same time, I don't want to be seen as a poser. I am just curious what this community thinks about it?

Function over form. I keep mine in just because I don't have the bumper plug anymore. I do track it occasionally, so it is warranted.

In my opinion it is. but who cares. I put it in the same category as driving around with race numbers on the car. At the track = necessary. Off the track, not so much.. Unless the car is a race replica with full livery.

Again it's only my opinion, I don't care what others do to their cars..

Will the car ever hit the track? If so it is advantageous to have one, since corner workers tend to hook onto whatever they see in the absence of a hook

Having a tow hook only makes you a poser if you never take the car to the track (i.e. you have it just because of the way it looks).

It's good for bashing your leg in while you're washing the car (and/or posing ).

You'll be seen as "cool" by the folks who don't race and the folks that do race will think you're a "poser".

It is a poseur move if you never take your car to the track, but that problem is solved by simply taking your car to the track just once.

Yup, it's poser if you don't track the car since there's no real use for it. I always leave mine in place (obviously not the stock unit-- OUCH!) when I drive on streets just cuz I'm too lazy to remove it.

I rock towhooks on my Heep and don't feel poser:

Seriously though, I think on the pcar it's a bit posey on the street. I prefer the smooth lines I have worked to achieve with no tow hook warts.
