Nice trip! Great images! Looks like a roadtrip that the Jeremy, James, and Hammond might have done in an episode of Top Gear. Thanks for sharing.

We did San Bernadino, which has been on Top Gear.

This is my third annual Eurotour and was great, but through lack of planning, missed the museum again! It's closed on Monday, for all planning to go. The race shop I went to was Karl Hloch. He's a friend of my friend and a really cool guy. He gave me an umbrella that was issued to Mille Miglia racers. Pretty cool and made from carbon fiber. He had awesome cars in his shop, but the reason I am not posting is out of respect for the owners. They race in the MM and other vintage races.

Thanks Bart, great shots.

We have been thinking about going to the Alps in the off season, renting a Mini, and then running a number of the high passes. I have John Hermann's book, "Motorcycle Touring in the Alps", so I can lay out an itinerary.

How did you arrange for that 964?

The guy who owns it, and the company advertised on it, is like my German brother.

BTW, for those wanting to plan a similar trip, I have another friend over there who offers such services: http://www.passo-tourismo.com/ Talk to Lars and tell him Bart sent you.

Very nice. Looks like Porsche is already delivering the new Cayenne.

Yeah, it looks even more like a Lexus...

No thanks. One guy I know on the build team doesn't seem terribly impressed with the styling, either.

There are other, more interesting, options available from a sports car company:

Hey Bart,
We must have just missed each other or were at a different location but close by.
We did a similar tour 3 days, 1000 miles, Gotthard, Grimsel, Furka, Klausen and about 10 more mountain passes.
Let me know the next time you want to do this and maybe we can hook up together.
Here's the proof:
Enjoy the pics.

I have about 250 more pics but need to upload them first.
More then later and sorry to hijack your tread Bart, but I couldn't resist to tell about the same great experience.

No problem, Ed! I did the same passes you mentioned. I was there on 6/24-6/27. Not sure how many passes we did, but I think we covered over 1700 km in 4 days.

Like Mecca for Muslims, whom are required to go at least once in their lifetime, Porschefiles must make a pilgrimige to Stuttgart as well.
