Default A/C problems

Pulled my 993 out of the garage so my wife and could go out to dinner a little hot still so turned on the a/c worked fine for 10 minutes. Then the drivers side still blew cold but center and pass. side vents blew hot, turn off and all blow hot.
Thanks for any input.
Jeff

You most probably have a broken airflow valve servo. Very common fault. It is placed behind the carpet wall in the footwell and regulates the amount of hot air from the engine. Have a look here for details:

Jeff, I had mine replaced a couple of weeks ago. I ordered the part from Sunset Porsche in Beaverton, Oregon. Part was about $175. Of course I had to wait a while for shipping which you might not want to do in Southen CA with your heat. If it is worth the wait for the part you can manually close the valve in the footwell after disconnecting the servo motor. This will prevent hot air from blowing into the cabin on the one side until you receive the part and get it installed.
