Default foglight replacement

yuk. Took a stone to my left front fog light. Nice hole right through the glass. Seems like a good time to deal with the yellow lenses. I don't want to mess with rebuilding the fixture. So what are my options? Just replace with new? Or is there something else OEM that goes in that space that looks better? Would love to see pics if you have them.

Thanks,

I replaced mine with a set of Turbo S ducts. Very quick and dirty job.

Decided to stay OEM and replace both front fogs with new to get rid of the 14 year old milky look. $220 a piece from Sunset.

Is this something I can do myself? Is it just removing the bumperettes, and removing a couple fasteners?

It's a very easy DIY. Just pop off the bumperette nut covers with a small screwdriver. Then remove the nuts securing the bumperettes with a 9mm (I think) socket. There's a good chance they are corroded so you might want to soak them with Kroil for a bit. Remove the bumperette then unscrew the foglight assembly and slide it out. Reverse.

If you don't have nut corrosion issues its a 15 minute job. If you snap the nuts off which is pretty common, don't fret, it's an easy repair. Simply drill out the old which as part of a backing plate and thread in a stainless steel metal pan head screw to secure the bumperettes. If you want to go full retard and replace the bumperette securing plate (techincal term) you'll hve to get behing the bumper cover to do so. Honestly, going that far is unecessary.

I just put my foglights back in today. It's a 8mm nut. The rest of the instructions above explain it all.

Shadoww993 how is the quality of the ebay ducts? I have being debating getting these. I have heard some aftermaket ducts are pretty poor in how they fit and require a lot of modifications. Thanks in advance.

After removing the bumperette and the screw, the side closer to the center of the car does not come out. I'm afraid if I pull any harder, I may break the tab that's holding it in place. This is the case with both the driver and the passenger side fog lights. In which direction am I supposed to pull? Towards the side or the front of the car? What's the trick?

Once you've removed the outboard screw that retains the foglight, pull the foglight out while rotating it towards the center axis of the car. It's a snug fit.

This... See the 5th photo from the bottom in the first post on this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...installed.html

The Ebay Turbo Scoops are what you see pictured in the thread - they fit nicely FYI.
