I was cleaning mine today and tried some Goof Off 2 that I had laying around, also the Goof off towelets. Both worked well on the rubber marks from track use

I haven't cleaned the rubber marks off of my 993 since last year. I have several events worth of marks on it. They remind me of fun weekends. However, when I do clean them, I use P21S Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser. Otherwise, I go to town with my Porter Cable and some Griots #3 Polish followed by a coat of One Grand Blitz Wax.

Now don't laugh! Try Ford Motorcraft Custom Clear Coat Polish. The stuff is amazing, inexpensive and easily applied. In addition to quickly taking off the "marble" marks after DE days, I use it on our vehicles rather than waxing...it's that good.

Polish is a WONDERFUL way to remove stuff on car paint, but it's a polish, NOT a wax, it will remove all the wax from the car. You polish, then wax.

Can't believe it hasn't come up, but you can also use car clay to remove the stuff, but that is more for the really small stuff.

I couldn't agree more...Wax is for paint. We use Griot's hand polish and Best of Show wax for paint. We clay bar, too. But, FWIW, I used the FoMoCo polish on our 2000 F250SD that sat outside for 10-1/2 years. Sold it 3 mo. ago and had 3 buyers standing in line. Paint was in fantastic condition. Water beads up on our clearcoated cars like on a duck's back. Have plenty of car show trophies to prove results. Wife just took 1st in Class at British Car Days South this past week-end with her MINI GP.
