Ok, but given MV also used a fake Ferrari Daytona, what was the 906? Re-bodied Pontiac Fiero?

And, oddly, in between were the 910 and 907. Partial to the 910, wonder why?

I'm partial to the 904. Guess it is mainly due to the performance with a smaller (4 cyl) engine. Also I think the looks compares favorably with the Ferrari Dino.

I have to agree here.

I personally think it's one of the most beautiful Porsche's ever produced. Just exquisite styling and so timeless.

Guessing you guys with the 904 aspirations have never had your hands in a 547 (4 cam) engine. 904/6 wins for modern-day practicality. Smartly, I passed on my one opportunity to "restore" a 2.0 4 cam cab about 25 years ago. I know I'll never get my hands in one now, but there ARE some things you just have to have the brains to avoid.

In any case, I think the 906 and 910 (more correctly the 906/10) are a huge leap forward. As were all the sports racers that came afterward.
