We were 98% certain that we were going to McKinney and then the store Operations Manager threw a wrench into the deal and it was off as far as we were concerned.
What about the Title Graphic Artist / Sign Captain means Millworks?
I think what happened is they really need someone bad in Millworks and to do that job you need to know how to read blue prints and know about building. Robert was an Architecture / Art major in College and he mentioned it to them. BINGO! Someone there then decided to not bring him in for the signs but for Millworks, but didn't tell Robert right away knowing he was a Sign Captain (old fashioned do it by hand graphic artist). The Ops manager just mentioned nonchalantly he'd be in Millworks to Robert before the transfer was finalized, and Robert told them immediately to find someone else, so we didn't go. I'm glad because he would have been PO'ed BIG TIME had we gone there and THEN they told him. That's just wrong.
Robert has tried every store in Arkansas and they don't know what a sign captain even is. The answer he kept getting is when we need a sign we just make it. HATE to see what those stores look like. LOL It is a rule that ever store have a sign maker. Well, lots of stores save their $$$ by not having a sign captain. They just have someone or two to three who gets off the csh register or out of garden and makes a sign when needed. You can tell the stores that do that, the signs suck. Eventually they will get all the store looking uniform like the pre Nardellii days, but it's going to take a long time to fix all his messes. What an *** he was.
Believe me when I say, we'd LOVE to run with you guys. Hopefully ONE OF THESE DAYS.....
Any of you have a job for me?? lol

I'm in for Palooza again, too. I hope Patrick (Texas993) can make it this year. There are usually at least 4-7 from the DFW area that go up for Palooza, plus a couple more from RAC, formerly Ruf.
JoAnne, sorry McKinney fell through. It would have been great to have you and Robert in the area. You might have even been able to get Tony to go up to Arkansas.
Guess who forgot their camera and has no pics of this trip.
Oh well, that didn't diminish the fun one bit.

It's amazing. Over a trip during which we were only awake for about 20 hours, I spent about 14 hours in the turbo's seat and crammed in 700 miles of pure driving pleasure. Some wouldn't want to get back in their car for awhile. I couldn't wait to get into it again. Ended up stuffing the kids into it and took it to church the next morning. Awesome cars, these 993s.

Let us know! We're heading to the gulf in a few weeks, but hopefully the timing will work out and we can catch up again.
