Default WTB 993 clear corners, also need a worn out set of rear lid struts

I've missed two different sets of clear corners this week so figured I better just ask if anyone has a set of new or used clear corners they would like to sell. Would prefer the longs but could possibly make do with the short versions also.

I'm doing the ducktail install and the original struts are too strong so I'm wondering if someone has a worn out set with just a little pressure remaining in them that I could liberate?

Thanks!

Let me know if you find a good source. I'm looking too.

If I could find someone to help with the install, I've got a fresh set of rear deck shocks waiting to be installed and I'd be happy to ship off the worn set. They have enough life to hold a regular deck, but not the heavy Gemballa tail I have now.
Otherwise, it will be late July before the task will be done when I bring the car in to the "shop formerly known as RUF Dallas" for a yearly maintenance visit.

Thanks Russ I appreciate your offer, if they'll hold up a regular deck they are going to be too strong, this ducktail is really light. I need a set that is very close to worn out and will almost hold up a lid.

Roger, I am going to be making a prop rod (ala RS) for my ducktail and eliminating the shocks altogether. Let me know and I'll make one for you as well.

You can buy the long clear corners on ebay for about $40

I replaced my struts a couple of weeks ago. I need to check if they've been tossed already. Otherwise they're yours. Should be perfect. Barely held up the deck in cold weather but would not when it got hot.

Thanks Darin, I'm hoping this might work without having to go to a rod. How soon are you going to do this?

I tried a search but nothing was coming up. I'll try again, thanks.

That would be great thank you! By the way, I love that color scheme on the 993 in your avatar. When ever you post I have to stare at it for a while. If I ever got a wild hair it would be fun to do a street car that combo.

I just checked and they've already been tossed. Have you tried using just one strut instead of two? I've been told that may work very well.

Glad you like the Cup Car avatar. Here's another color scheme on same # car:

I have a new set that I need to put on. If you can wait a week I am happy to ship my old ones to you.

Darn, ah well, thank you for checking. I'm concerned if I use just one, it will warp the deck since it's fiberglass and will take a set. Maybe someone else will chime in. Cool car thanks for the pic.

I had a set of these. Just be aware that they may (will) need to be filed down to fit properly. No major deal, it is the seams and tab that will need some attention.

Good to know, thanks for the heads-up. Did they look drastically different from oem?
