Why don't you simply slide your roof open to allow all the trapped hot air to escape when you first get in the car?

Interesting. I only open the windows... should I be only opening the roof instead? Hot air does rise, but the whole cabin is 100+ degrees at that point of entering.

Actually, your post reminded me of a cool mod I saw done over at the Pelican site. Someone removed the clock and routed the cool air from the center vents through the clock opening, using a Miata vent which fit in.

Found the thread...actually a Ford truck/mustang part...the Mustang version has a chrome ring.
