The motor build went wrong. The oil pressure was VERY low at idle. Instead of tearing into the motor and fixing the problem they bypassed the low oil pressure warning light.
The problem was from cross drilling the crank to aggressively. That caused it to bleed off too much oil pressure at idle.
Alvin got screwed badly on that whole deal. I know a LOT more than I care to reveal online. Needless to say I would heed Pirahna's advise.

Imo these were better days back then...all about the cars, the drives, the MODS! Wasn't all about increasing values, flippers chasing cars, how's the market for 911s, what's my car worth, blah blah blah.
The surge in value imo has had a real impact on where a majority of these cars have ended up.... less in the true enthusiasts hands.
Better days back then.....
OP go screwed on this and every time I saw this car for sale after I thought how bad a tuner "S car go" must be to screw someone this bad on a build....

Miss those days. FB barely existed, IG wasn't even conceptualized yet, the housing bubble had yet to burst and inexpensive 993's were abundant. We should have a special "where are they now" thread! I've been here for almost 10 years and have made some great friends along the way. Some I communicate with daily, others not so often but we still keep in touch. The pre collectible days of the 993 were quite special.
