The hard back seats I just got, are Black with Polar backs also. My C4S is Arctic Silver/Classic grey. The previous owner started to break up the all grey interior(except for the main dash), by installing an RS steering wheel, and Black lloyds matts in front. I'm adding black jump seats to match the hardbacks, and will probably get a new rear mat set also.
The Polar silver really works in my car, IMHO, it compliments the Grey elsewhere, picks up on the alu gauge rings(thanks Chris) and will at some point in the future compliment my blk/alu shifter and ebrake handle.
I agree with a previous lister who suggested getting the gauge ring's. Last I knew, Chris still had a few sets available, they install simply, and make a dramatic difference.
The Polar Silver backs will REALLY jump out at you when bolted in the car, much more so than if they were Mid Blue like the car...and that is a good thing. Personally, I'd try them in the car fore awhile...but get those gauge ring's ordered NOW!
Have you changed the seats before? Very simple process-slide seat all the way back, tilt front up as far as possible-remove both bolts at front. Lower seat front, raise rear, move all the way forward-remove rear bolts. driver seat has two plugs-1 for power seat functions, 2nd for seatbelt. Pass seat has only power function plug.
get the gauge rings, and that slightly padded double stick tape.
These seats are extremely comfortable, as long as you are small to moderate in proportion, and are fricking jewelery for the cars.
That polar Silver will jump right out at you, you won't need any cheezy 3D glasses to view that effect...will probably be stunning with the exterior color.
Out with the old, and in with the new my friend!

I don't know, a dragon/unicorn theme would be really unique... If you've got kids, they'd love riding in the back seat even more!
(bolt 'em in and test for a while. You might like it, you might hate the seats; better then you didn't paint them.)

Ocean Blue otherwise you will always be asked "When are you going to paint those seats?".

Some great suggestions - thanks all.
I think I will test fit with new hardware (thanks Ilko). If it doesn't grow on me I may experiment with guage rings etc. as others have suggested - these are great ideas I never really considered.
If all that doesn't quite do it I will pull them out and paint them body color next season.
All this with the assumption that I like the seats of course. I'm 6", 175lbs so I'm hoping they will offer more comfort / support than my current set-up.
Thanks for the ideas, suggestions and of course, the mandatory Rennlist humour!
Cheers,
Bob

Personally, I find the sport seats more comfortable, and certainly more supportive than stock. My wife actually agrees with me here, shame I had no witnesses when she said that!
I'm 5'8", and 190...I think I'm about the limit for the broad shouldered slightly paunchy middle aged guy fit for these seats. My buddy down the street sits on them...not in them.
Being able to continue to fit in these seats, will be more of an incentive to eat and drink less...than the semi competitive bicycle riding/racing I do.
you'll love them! Glad to hear your gonna try the Arctic silver for a while.
Pic's when installed!
