OT-Pic's of recent Porsche gathering
The Vancouver Island Region of PCA had a get together in Ucluelet on the west coast of the Island last weekend. I took some pic's which I thought I would post. Even though the weather was pretty crappy it was a fun get together.
MikeJ, who many of you know on this forum, brought out both of his Targas. He didn't bring out the second Targa until the rain abated. His second Targa, sans tail and Ruf wheels of his original Targa, fits well on the roof of the other Targa. Both were well detailed :-).
Mike's real Targa is in the second picture and if you look closely you will notice the second Targa on it's roof. Next to Mike's car is RConnon's black 993. My 993 is in the second row next to the Ferrarri 550. A beautiful 993 Turbo is on the right side of the second picture.
The 69 911 won first place in the Touring Group of the Parade last year. Original paint and interior. It was a class act.
The next picture is of a 911 next to a Panamera. It was the first Panamera that I have personally seen. I was amazed at how much larger it is than the 911. The next picture is of the interior of the Panamera.
There was a nice RS America, GT3, and Speedster among the many cars there. The owner of the the Speedster said it was the last of the Speedsters produced. I used to believe that distinction was held by Seinfeld but the owner assured me I was wrong.
One final picture of the 993 Turbo and a closing shot taken out our window when the sun came out briefly.

I wasn't sure if you would have time. I know you got some great shots so go ahead and add them when you get a chance.
My pictures of the beach campfire didn't turn out. If you got some pictures of the campfire it might be nice to add those too. We can show some flatlanders what size logs we use for campfires on the West (wet) Coast. If you don't have any pic's of that I will add some of the wife's pictures when we get back home on Thursday night.

There will be other get togethers which are generally fundraisers for one charitable organization or another. The one that is more fun is the up-island drive. It starts in Victoria and Porsches join as the cars go up Island. It can vary between ten and twenty cars. Once the cars get past Nanaimo it becomes like a BBC run on the Mainland-but much longer!
Louis, thank you. You beat me to it.
