If only Edmonton was closer to the border although it wouldn't help me too much now as I'm moving from 17s to 18s so I'd have pull a trailer.

I'm just going to pull the trigger on the Sumi's from TR and go with the Rennlist recommendations. TR is certainly recommending them for my application too.
$789 to the door including brokerage, taxes, GST and freight plus another $200 for mounting and balancing. It's still at least $200 less than any other tire I can get. If I was going to spend more I'd just bring in PS2s anyway.

Matt, ship them to your door from Tirerack and have them installed locally. I took $80 cash and a case of beer down to the tireshop and they did the deed.....very carefully I might add. Way under a grand all said and done.

I need to find a tire shop like that around here. Yeah, I'll be in at under $1k. Now I have some extra $$$ for the Steve Wong chip I just bought.

Matt:

Integra here in Calgary had Sumi's available a few weeks ago, according to their counter guy.

Thanks Rinty. I'm not familiar with this company even though they are only 10 minutes from my house! Unfortunately they want $1437 and the tires are a month away right now. The joys of living in this wilderness called Canada.

The old Tirecraft franchisor went out of business, or became insolvent, and a number of the former franchisees formed up under a new entity, Integra. The Tirecraft name was sold to a third party and they still have outlets as well.

I know the principals of two of the Calgary stores, and they are good people. The Macleod Trail Integra store does most of South Centre Porsche's tire work.

Now I get it. Tirecraft was supposed to be the Sumi dealer so Integra likely took that from them during their financial problem days. it also explains why I haven't heard of Integra.

Damon at Tire Rack was good to deal with and it was a hassle free experience. The tires will be here next week.
