LOL! I thought the same thing.

Actually, the new white color is called "Carrara" white. So they spelled it correctly on the flyer. When I saw the flyer's spelling, I went to Porsche's website and found out about the new color name.

Looks like Grand Prix White to me anyways....

Yeah, we have to bring our own helmets. I won't win or anything, but I hope my buddy and I do fairly well. We do have a beirgarten at the end (I am training now with a Liberty Ale).

Good deal. You may have seen the ones that sold here - Chris Walrod sold them, I think.

I dig the all black car theme and sig, btw. My 968 and Jeep are black and had I found a black 993 when I was looking, it probably would be, too.

OK, based on the above images, I understand that the primary weights are 625 pounds/inch for the front, and 800 pounds/inch for the rear.

However, are the tender springs rated similarly? I ask because the first digit on the tenders is NOT representative of their height. Is it safe to assume the final digit IS representative of their rate?

If so, I'm getting 280 pounds/inch front, 400 pounds/inch rear. Correct?

I'm not terribly familiar with tender springs (helpers are a no-brainer, of course) and their affect on spring rate, so jump in here, O Knowledgeable. What I need to know is the overall affect on the working spring rate of this setup, so I can make changes prior to installation, if necessary.

993Cup would be similar, the tenders are almost irrelevant because they are quickly spring bound, net wheel travel w/ theses setups is greatly reduced over street models

Then why run them at all?

Also, I understand that the bodies (and therefor the stroke) is shorter with these units - which is not necessarily negative, since longer (stock-like) setups on lowered cars do not use all of their available stroke anyway - but I wonder how much travel is lost to coil binding with the 2 springs (over a single spring, less coils)

Are these bodies shorter than the RS units? I thought the RS units were shortened as well... Per haps a comparison (if anyone has some RS bilstiens laying around to measure for me?)

certainly helpers would do that...

Anyone know the dimensions of the RS Bilstiens (body length, etc) - I'm under the impression that these have the same shock body, although I have no data to back that up.

I had considered having these revalved to RS spec and dropping the spring rates accordingly - any thoughts on that?

oh - on the helper/tender thing, lol.

Do you happen to know the heights of the RS shock/strut bodies? I wonder if Bilstein will know?

Wow, I haven't been here in a while (moved the shop, etc.)

So the car looks like this with the suspension on it:

well, not exactly, since I've put some RS body parts on it - picture of that stuff when I can find them!
