Looks to have a UK plate on the rear and appears to be a "ROW" model (no front fender reflectors/lights/signals). Is it possible this car is a display model?

I emailed some of your questions to my uncle and am awaiting his reply. You guys thought of stuff I never would have thought of. To me, it was just another silly day with my Uncle and a very exclusive car. This isn't the first crazy experience he's relayed to me...

He has always wanted a Ferrari and could easily afford one but since he lives in a small town, he didn't want anything too outlandish. When he was in Italy with his wife and some friends a few years back, he took a drive to the Ferrari factory while they were out doing something else. He had with him what he thought was enough documentation (real or otherwise) that would get him into the factory for a tour. He dreamed about this moment and spoke about it with me for years before going.

When he got there, they said it didn't look right and they wouldn't let him in. He pleaded with them, said he had gone 5000 miles to get there but they just laughed at him. He got down on his knees and begged them but they still said no. He even walked around the building seeing if there was some way to get a look-see but no luck... He was pretty despondent, got in his car, and proceeded to get totally lost for hours trying to get back to his hotel many miles away. Oh well...

PS - I just got an email back from my Uncle on his iPhone. He's still down there and has limited access to the internet. He said that the front windshield on the Bugatti was cracked. He told me it was a stress fracture and will cost $60,000 to repair. Is that incredible or what? That windshield is the same price as a 96 993 TT. That's NUTS!

These repair costs, if true, are simply beyond comprehension.

Although the law of supply & demand does apply.

It would simply be immoral NOT to charge someone $60,000 for a windshield...or $37,500 for a wheel...if they would pay it...

For $60,000, one could assume that the car will be shipped back to Bugatti to have its stupid windshield replaced.....

The $37,500 for ONE wheel makes Speedlines look cheap. $60K for a windshield? I wonder what dealer cost is. Maybe FDM or Sunset could help a guy out. Times are tough after all.

I believe the cost of a single wheel is $11k and the cost for a set of tires is $38k.

Other out-of-this-world costs include $120k for a transmission and $21k for the yearly service and inspection.

Wow, all of those cars belong in one collection? Amazing!
Those are all for sale at a well known classic car dealer in Emeryville, CA
