Default vAriOram finish restoration. vram cleaning

After several trials and error, found my combination for the varioram aspect refurbish
The varioram has to be dismantled inside out, pivoting tube extensions as well.
If DIY needed for inside, let me know.
First sandblasting with corindon (aluminum oxide)
and then angle glass bead blasted with 180-300 microns beads, maximum pressure 5 bar

As you bead blast, the shine comes as if you are painting the v-ram, funny feeling
pictures are from mobile phone, but better than no pictures.

left right pictures are of course right= sandblasted, left bead blasted

Looks good, but definitely needs to be face-ached.

Why the confusion? I simply indicated that the link escaped me.

Next time, I'll write, "Thank you, Mark. In my haste, I skipped over the link you mention."

JMHO, but if anyone contemplates doing this, I'd strongly recommend using a soda blaster instead of anything with glass beads or aluminum oxide.

You would never believe where all that hard media get lodged and the consequences are expensive.

Geolab, That looks really nice. I too agree with the polishing of the "varioram".
