Steve, the soda blasting does nothing to the varioram, that was the first media I tried, from 3 to 9 bar, no effect none.

We have a CO2 blaster at work we use for just the reasons Steve mentions (though I don't make intake manifolds).

You'll probably be okay. If it's convenient, you may try some agitated liquid bath - that should dislodge most anything left over.
