I have this setup and love it. Don't chance getting it done by a rookie and send em to Darin.

Are LPMM and Fister's the same? Maybe the bypass is done internally? I had LPMMs on my first 993 and they sound very different from the Fisters I've heard.

From looking at his site... it looks like he does the LPMM w/ minor mods on the inside of the II's and a major gut job on the the III's with no LPMM

I am from the "Old Skool" LPMM crew before all the different stages came out. I'll let the FDM monkeys give you the breakdown.

Back in the day, another rennlister (Leland Pate) and I were looking into ways to modify our mufflers (not together, just around the same time.) RUF had a mod out that had a bypass pipe with the inlet and outlet connected together with a valve in the middle. Leland built one , minus the valve, with 1 1/2" galv pipe from the hardware store that he welded with mild steel. After he built his, I built mine with 2" stainless pipe and welded it with stainless.
This became the Fister Stage I muffler.

Stage II is a Stage I with internal modifications as well, TIG welded back together, giving it a different tone and volume level (more of what I was looking for.)

Then I went to the races in '08 and heard the GT3 cup cars, I just knew that was what I wanted to try and reproduce. After a few prototypes, the Stage III was born. It is a completely repiped (internally). It weighs in at right around 10 lbs and makes me smile everytime I fire up my 993.
