Well I just got the car like 3 months ago and put 5k miles on it already !!!

I am planning on a lot of maintenance work so far, later on yes I might be interested in Euro bumper, side skirts, xenon lights, etc.

Those wheels are OK the previous owner changed them, but they are impossible to clean. It takes me longer to clean the wheels than the car. On my Boxster S I had the turbo twists and they were so easy to clean not mentioning that I could reach the caliper and inner wheel too.

Black Ice do you have a contact for a cheap Euro bumper?

Xenon is easy - pretty much any $50-60 eBay slim HID kit works well and very easy to install. Make sure it's slim, so the ballasts can fit inside the headlight bucket.

The car that was on ebay that sparked the thread has paint code L39s which is called Aventura not Aventurine.

Hey all, I just bought a triple black 95 cab last week, but just before I bought it, I came across a real nice Adventurine/cashmere cab for sale in CT. Here it is on CL:

Seems like a good price, low miles, and the car looks great. Might be a nice buy if someone's looking.

Seriously, I had called around and Sunset seemed to be the best deal, even with freight to ship the thing. I think the bumper was in the neighborhood of $1150 and the shipping maybe $150 (but that's all the way to FL). You also need to make the call on replacement corner markers at maybe $60 a piece. Oh, and paint....

Gimme a call when you get tired of those wheels. Well, wait a bit until the pain of my clutch job wears off.

Even after all the proper spelling in this thread people just refuse to note how Aventurine is spelled.

OK I'll grant you Aventurine is spelled 'Aventurine'.

The Porsche colour is Aventura. That's why I posted the colour chart. Here it is again, though it seems you are in denial

Renaud Bizet,

Love everything about your car. The color combo looks very handsome. Post a pic with the door open if you can

The wheels, while not spectacular, are still nice. I wouldn't be in a hurry to change them.

I have no problem with Aventura. But people insist that it's "aDventurine".

Definitely only ever called Aventura in the UK.

Here is my previous 993 from 2003: Claudia, in Aventura!

So many dealers in the UK get the name wrong, easily done I guess.

Have seen Adventura, Aventure, Adventure, Adventurer etc. etc. Never Aventurine for some reason.

Was it ever officially called Aventurine by Porsche in the US?

OC, where did your colour chart go?!

You're worried about "Aventurine"? A lot of posters can't spell "brake" correctly!

Hi Zamirz,

As far as the wheels go, I am glad the previous owner removed the OEM 17, added the steering bracket to accommodate 18s and switch the wheels to the Sport Designs. If I had money to burn sure I would love a set of Speedline.

I am happy to oblige for the interior shots !!!
By the way the original front seats are available for sale if somebody is interested. Previous owner swapped them for 964 seats but they came with the car. Somebody make me an offer

Aventura is a Dominican-American bachata music group.[1] The band was originally formed in 1994 in The Bronx, New York with members Anthony Santos, Lenny Santos, Max Santos, and Henry Santos Jeter.[1] Self-taught and determined to break into the music industry, Aventura made their big break in 1999, with the hopes of breaking Dominican bachata music out from its traditional base and fuse it with modern popular sounds like hip hop and R&B.[1]

Aventurine is a form of quartz, characterised by its translucency and the presence of platy mineral inclusions that give a shimmering or glistening effect termed aventurescence.

Aventurine (unknown scale)The most common colour of aventurine is green, but it may also be orange, brown, yellow, blue, or gray. Chrome-bearing fuchsite (a variety of muscovite mica) is the classic inclusion, and gives a silvery green or blue sheen. Oranges and browns are attributed to hematite or goethite. Because aventurine is a rock, its physical properties vary: its specific gravity may lie between 2.64-2.69 and its hardness is somewhat lower than single-crystal quartz at around 6.5

Seems to me like some translation issue and AVENTURINE is the correct intention. There were a couple other colors that translated oddly.

I hear what you are saying, but it's written down by Porsche as Aventura.

Seems to me that someone assumed it was Aventurine after consulting a dictionary, and that myth has perpetuated. Streather, for instance

Or does Aventura mean something rude in America?

It's not the end of the world if we disagree, but I'm just interested if anyone has anything with 'Aventurine' written down?
