Nevertheless, I expect that, from a production staindpoint, the designers drew the shape of the original '94 NB 993 to be optimal, perfect and ideal. So any variation from this shape, plus or minus, would therefore be less than optimal, perfect and ideal relative to the original vision. Making wider fenders is part of a long-standing Porsche convention to meet the increased traction requirements of a turbo. Some people regard this as an improvement, even more see it as more "exotic," and everyone knows it's more rare.

Unless of course they penned the WB as the original prototype and auto show mule. Then I'm all wet.
