Default what is this hose?

what is the gray hose -- the bottom of the four red stars -- and what does it attach to? TIA.

Default I believe it's the ventilation hose for the distributor.

Yep, supposedly allows the ozone to expell, thereby minimizing the deterioration of the distributor drive belt.

ok. now, since I have nothing there, and can't see a hose coming from the distributor, where would I find it in there? And where, exactly, does it go?

Post a pic of what you have (stock heater blower tube?).... maybe you're just missing your vent tube.

check the under number 2 distributer cap, facing back on the out side. There will be a hole or a plastic nipple. if you still have the plastic insert, all you need is the hose. If not, there is an update kit from porsche used on the 964.

thanks! nipple on the distributor housing -- all I need now is the hose....

Look down beneath, you might find the hose. I had the same question a while back and lo and behold the hose was just sitting there in the engine compartment!
