Boulderbobo, what tweeter is it? What's the depth?

I have TN-52 tweet and don't think it'll fit into the door depth-wise. Did you have to cat metal? Any pics of that area?

More info on what Dynamat did, exactly?

The tweeter is the MD102.

See dimensions below.

Requires cutting a 2" hole in the door sheet metal.

The Dynamat dampens out most of road noise that comes thru the door.

Bob, that is what I was looking for, thanks!

Is there anything behind the sheetmetal in tweeter location that I should be concerned with? Or should I just hack away?

It's pretty clear behind the sheet metal where the oem tweeter is mounted. I used a bimetal hole saw purchased at Home Depot.

You may also decide you need one of these.

I used the same hole saw (well my own, not yours) to put my JL audio tweets in the doors. Clear steel behind the factory tweet location just be careful not to drop the cut out piece into the door. I had to break my vapor barrier to find a lost piece of steel floating inside the door.

I had mine installed, but here is what he did:

No Dynamat, the doors do not rattle. The tweeters did not fit in the stock pods, so he made new ones. He cut no holes nor drilled new holes. I went with the smaller mids so he wouldn't need to cut the doors. He was highly recommended by people in the business I know and trust. He has a long history with audio and 911's, and appreciates our cars and does not want to damage them. I lucked out with him. The only way you could tell they are not stock is they don't curve in slightly where they meet the door panel like the stock ones. But you would have to really know to know the difference.
