Remember when events like that seemed to happen about every other month? When I was young, if I wasn't at the track I'd hang out with the concours/weekend drive crowd. Now it seems like there's always and excuse to NOT drive the cars.............

I remember the good old days too.....

They are coming up through Wickenburg and up Yarnell hill.I'll be at the car show helping set up for registration as will Robert so we won't get to do that part of the tour.

I know you remember Yarnell hill

On Sunday after lunch in Bagdad they will be taking the whoop tee doo's on 93 (or is it 95??). Saturday there will be a QUICK tour up to Jerome and back before dinner. Lots of driving IF they want to drive!

Bump ~~~ It's next weekend.

92 people coming so far. 45+ Porsches. Last year there were 75 cars. According to the organizers last year they signed up 15 additional cars a few days before the event. I can't believe there is an actual Porsche event in this town. I'm happy.

Hope some of you Phoenix Rennies can attend. If you can only come up for the Car Show on Saturday, it's just $15.00 to take part in that. Such a deal

CalvinC4S and I will be there with one car sharing duties as driver/radar-laser operator/navigator/on-board DE instructor (Bill alone on this one)/technician (Bill again). Really look forward to seeing you, Robert and that work of art you now drive.

Tony!!! So glad that you and Bill will make it up and we'll FINALLY get to meet you. When you were talking about work of art, I thought you meant the 120 Porsche lotus blossoms I am making for the dinner. <WINK> Robert has been in the garage all day doing this and that on the car. He just finished up with some custom made carpet mats for the front so that we (more like I) do mess up the new German Square weave.

Looks like there's about 100 people now. It has to be limited to 120 participants, so it's almost sold out

WOOO WHOOO !!!

112 people for the dinner on Saturday night at Vintage Motorcars. It will be sold out when we hit 120, and I know it will since there is still 4 days left.

57 cars in the show on the courthouse square so far for Saturday Morning / Afternoon.

Almost as many signed up for the run and Lunch in Baghdad on Sunday.

This is going to be fun.

So do you think the take centerpiece's turned out okay? Can you guess what it's made up of? There are six people per table so I made six 'flowers' that make up one big Porsche 'flower' for the center of the table. When participants get ready to leave they will be told to grab their gift, one of the 'flowers' from the center piece.

So how did I do?

I know it's a Flower, but I did use the guy stuff the organizers bought and told me to use......

Very cool!

Looks like red rags, a mircofiber towel (?)... not sure what is wrapped around them. Can't see it well enough... black ribbon?
The center, I dunno. One of the world's largest ball bearings?

Nice job

Very creative! I always like it when I get to take some home.

Is the center piece the new P shifter **** or a…. shrunken helmet?

Given the level of interest, you will end up with some on the waitlist.

There is a Zip tie holding it all together and I actually changed the final design. No ribbon is involved in the project anymore at all. Now I am using the cut of end of the Zip tie as the flowers Pistil Ribbons, just aren't "Porsche" ya know?

As for the center, it's just a 5" balloon. I had to keep the cost down so no Genuine Porsche parts. lol
