Default Big Dilema...........

I have a problem and I dont know what to do.
I am considering selling my 993 which I have owned for a very short period.
I just dont drive it enough with Portland Weather and care too much for it to drive it in the rain.

What do you guys think is a fair price for it?

1996 C2 Black on Cashmere.
19K Original Miles.
Manual
LSD/ABD
Fister Stage 2 Exhaust with Big Ovals
Motor Sound Airbox
18" Twists
6000K 55W HID's

Salvage Title, From Drivers Door damage.
I Have all pictures of damage and work done to put the car back into the shape it is in now.

Wow, low mileage but the salvage hurts as you already know. I really dont know what the car would bring. Sure looks pretty!!

What's wrong with driving it in the rain? Other idiots, or you always have to wash it? Car's not made of sugar!

Then, absent moving, that does pose a fatal problem.

+/- $25k. But that's a total guess, no data on that. Gotta find the right buyer, but the records and pics will help.
What's up with the driver's front wheel well?

Sheesh, I've not seen US ride height in so long, that front end looks like it's actually been raised.

The pics are pretty old when I didnt put in the wheel well cover yet after paint.
The front looked higher then stock because I took out the spare, tools, really low on gas and no windshield washer fluid.

i think your Guess is pretty close to mine.

A salvage title and low miles is just begging to be driven with reduced apprehension. I'm not sure if you'd have much more joy in the rain in a Mitsu Evo, for example, so I fear the issues may be geography more than car. Before you do anything rash, have a beer with Jody Blue Jam and talk 993s. He may be of some help.

I'm with the others--why AREN'T you drviing it??

That said, I bought mine last year with similar mods (minus the lights), 24K+ miles, and clean title for $37. I have seen others for a bit less, but not much. The title obviously drops that down, but someone might be looking for a track car to further mod. You might also consider reviewing the info at the top of the 993 section on Rennlist.

Reconsider keeping it. Sounds like a nice one.

If you're not a member yet join the PCA and sign up for the driver's skills day down in the PDX region, or better yet come up and do our driver's skills day out in Bremerton, but do it in the rain (most weekends). You'll learn how to better drive your car in the wet to its limits, and if you can manage to get the rear end to break loose on the skid pad, you won't do any damage to anything in this controlled environment. If you don't love your car after taking the class, then it's time to sell it to another Rennlist member.

If it had a clear title I would say it would be worth $35k plus (due to low miles and LSD). I agree on mid 20s due to the salvage title.

My car is just as much fun in the rain as it is in the dry.

If I owned a 993 with a salvage title I would be driving the pants off it - night, day and 4 seasons of the year! If it's worth mid 20's as others have suggested, you would be hard pressed to find a replacement that's as tough, reliable and fun to drive.
GL regardless of your decision.

Join the local PCA, & get out there! Take a drive down the Oregon Coast, or head out to Bend, no rain there.

Yea, you got 19kmi, but a salvage, it's not a garage queen, it's a driver! Trust me, rain will not hurt the car, & you can have a ton of fun driving in it.
