By unscrewing it from the cap.

Insert a flat blade screwdriver that is slightly larger than the inside edges of the sleeve, wedge it in and unscrew it. It can't be all that tight in the first place if a wire is tightening it in place.

You can get them from either Porsche or Kingsborne.

Porsche part number: 911 609 310 00, $1.17 each from Sunset.
Beru part number: 0901300003

The downside is the cost of the crimping tool: $325 and worth every penny, I am sure. A rental loaner would be nice.
Did you or anyone else end up buying the crimping tool? I only need to replace a single M3 threaded sleeve (and boot) on the distributor end because of corrosion.

Jason,

I could not find this guy's email address. I would guess he is on Rennlist as well. His name is Mark Robinson and he was selling bare wire kits last year on PP. Here is a link to the thread and you could PM him. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...red-black.html

I will when I get back. I'm still in the Alps motorcycling on these terribly boring roads...the torture is killing me...wink.

I just happen to get on-line at the moment. I'll PM you when I get back.
