Default so, I was cleaning the ISV when a funny thing happened

I took out the ISV and sprayed in some carb cleaner. Once the dirt washed away, I could see slight gouges (very slights, scrapes really) on the moving part of the ISV as if it had been cleaned before and the person used a screw driver to remove some stubborn dirt. The valve seemed to move freely, but you can see the scrapes.

My question: Is the part compromised??

It's fine, from moving all the time, the bore will be scraped. If it gets stuck due to the gouges, or they are to deep, then you will need to replace it. How deep are they & does it affect the valve movement?

It moves freely, which is why I suspected all was fine. Or at least ok.
